Marco Arcelli joined EPH

Marco Arcelli joined Energetický a průmyslový holding, a.s. (EPH) as the Business Development Director. Marco will be responsible for development projects and selected acquisitions at EPH, especially in southern Europe.
His competence will also include the building of a European portfolio of flexible renewable electricity production with controlled performance, especially plants with biomass, waste and fossil sources of gas (biogas, landfill gas, etc.) combustion. The basis of this portfolio will be British Lynemouth power plant after the completion of the process of conversion from coal to biomass, which will have an installed capacity of 400 MW, and will be one of the largest plants of its kind in Europe. Conversion process with a budget of more than 400 mil. GBP should be completed in the third quarter of this year.
Marco will also become a member of the Board of Directors of EP Produzione, which covers the activities of EPH in Italy and operates a modern fleet of five gas-fired and one coal-fired power plants.
Marco Arcelli has over 20 years of experience in the energy sector. He previously worked in the Italian Enel as CEO of subsidiary Enel Trade. In the past he was also the CEO of Slovenske elektrarne and Enel North America.
Marco graduated from Harvard Business School and Mechanical Engineering at the University of Genoa.
