EPH successfully issues its inaugural €500 million green bonds

On 31 May 2024, EPH Financing International, a.s. successfully issued inaugural EUR 500 million green bonds under its EUR 3 billion EMTN Programme guaranteed by Energetický a průmyslový holding, a.s. (“EPH”). The EUR-denominated green bonds, maturing in November 2029, will bear a 5.875% coupon, paid annually. An amount equivalent to the net proceeds from the issuance will be allocated in line with EPH’s Green Finance Framework to a portfolio of eligible green projects.
EPH was assisted by Goldman Sachs Bank Europe S.E. and HSBC Continental Europe as joint global coordinators and bookrunners, ING Bank N.V. as joint lead manager and bookrunner and sole green structurer, and Bank of China (Europe) S.A. as passive bookrunner. The green bonds attracted high demand, mainly from investors from western Europe, who took up a 92% majority of allocations.
The notes were admitted to trading on the regulated market of Euronext Dublin and are rated BBB- by Fitch and BBB- by S&P.
