EPH issues bonds
1. 8. 2018
Energetický a průmyslový holding, a.s. (EPH) issues 4-year bonds in the total estimated volume of CZK 3 billion, of which 2.5 billion were already subscribed under the first tranche at the issue date. The semi-annual coupon is set to the sum of 6M PRIBOR (Prague InterBank Offered Rate) plus 2.0 % p.a. Proceeds of the issue will be mainly used for the refinance of existing EPH debt.
“According to the information available to us, this is the largest corporate bond issue in the Czech Republic, within the last two years, without an external credit rating. In my opinion, this interest reflects the strong financial and business profile of our group that operates stable, regulated and long-term contracted infrastructure assets and strategically strengthens in the field of power generation,” says Pavel Horský, CFO and EPH board member, adding that the power plants, in which EPH holds a stake, produced more than 100 TWh of electricity last year, ranking EPH in sixth place in Europe in this category.
