EPH acquires Mehrum Power Plant

Energetický a průmyslový holding, a.s. (or „EPH“) completed a indirect purchase of Kraftwerk Mehrum GmbH (or „KWM“) from Enercity (Stadtwerke Hannover Aktiengesellschaft) and BS Energy, on Wednesday, 1 November 2017. KWM owns and operates Mehrum Power Plant. EPH, through its subsidiary EP Power Europe, acquires shares of the company and takes control of this power plant.
Mehrum Power Plant is a coal-fired power plant in Germany. It lies at the central land channel in Mehrum, approx. 20 kilometers to the East from Hannover. It has an installed capacity of 750 megawatts. The power plant has about 120 employees.
EPH generates over 100 TWh of power annually, which places it as the 7th largest power producer in Europe.
